About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to help build and lead a modern Technical Operations (TechOps) function responsible for enabling large-scale growth, stability, and strategic innovation within a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

As a Technical Operations Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of enterprise systems and infrastructure. You’ll architect, support, and optimize critical systems across cloud and on-prem environments — all while maintaining a 24/7 uptime objective and aligning technical execution with high-level business objectives.

If you thrive on solving real-world challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and bringing structure to complex technical environments, this is your chance to make a lasting impact.

What You'll Be Responsible For
  • Architect, implement, and support infrastructure solutions across compute, storage, virtualization, and cloud environments.

  • Evaluate, test, and deploy systems and tools to solve a wide variety of technical problems aligned with business goals.

  • Administer and support enterprise systems including Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, Exchange, IIS, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization platforms.

  • Ensure 24/7 availability, performance, and health of systems infrastructure, targeting 99.999% uptime.

  • Manage and monitor on-premise and cloud environments with an emphasis on system performance, lifecycle management, capacity planning, and disaster recovery readiness.

  • Act as liaison to Engineering, Security, and Architecture teams; collaborate closely to ensure alignment across projects and platforms.

  • Own change, incident, and problem management for infrastructure components; lead highly visible or high-risk operational tasks.

  • Participate in ongoing efforts around automation and infrastructure as code using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python).

  • Perform system upgrades, patching, and maintenance in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

  • Assist in planning and executing security audits and assessments in collaboration with the Information Security team.

  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation including technical procedures, diagrams, and operational guides.

  • Support and participate in data center operations as required.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise infrastructure environments.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux system administration.

  • Proven experience supporting Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, IIS, and system monitoring tools.

  • Hands-on experience with VMware and other virtualization technologies.

  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals: IP routing, VPNs, VLANs, DNS, and Layer 2/3 protocols.

  • Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.) for automation and task execution.

  • Experience with data protection solutions, including disaster recovery and backup platforms.

  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and incident response skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with automation/configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.).

  • Experience with email and messaging platforms (Office365, Exchange Online).

  • Knowledge of mail security platforms (e.g., Mimecast).

  • Familiarity with backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Rubrik).

  • Exposure to security and encryption standards, including certificate and key management.

  • Experience with monitoring/logging platforms (e.g., Elastic, Splunk).

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., VCP, Microsoft AZ/MCSE, Linux+, AWS/Azure certs).

What You’ll Get
  • Opportunity to build core infrastructure and influence the technical roadmap of a growing organization

  • High autonomy in a fast-moving, modern engineering culture

  • Flexible remote work options

  • Collaborative and supportive team environment that values innovation and continuous improvement
