Senior Network Engineer / Architect / Cisco / Remote

A client in the defense industry is looking to hire a Senior/Architect level Network Engineer for a short-term consultative contract role. You will work directly with the project engineers and team. You will consult on a complex network design for a critical infrastructure project. They are looking for a network expert having deep expertise in Cisco LAN networks. This is a short term (2-3 Month) contract position, just depending on how long the project takes. It will primarily be remote, with occasional onsite needed in Carrolton, TX.
For this position they are desiring for the network engineer they bring on to evaluate the design to determine the technical feasibility of implementing the solution, as well as identify any design deficiencies which would impact operational performance and reliability of the network.


Contract Duration: 2 Months

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong Knowledge on Cisco Layer 2 and Layer 3 network implementations.
• Knowledge of other networking technologies and vendors.
• Strong knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
• Experience in designing and implementing complex network solutions.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Cisco certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent.
• Experience in working with critical infrastructure projects.
• Experience in working with operational technology systems.
