Our client is looking for a Network Optimization Engineer for a 14-month contract working remotely.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant experience
- 4 years of related experience (really should be more than 6+ years)
- Cisco and Juniper equipment experience required
- BGP, OPSF, and VRF design experience
- Site due diligence work done remotely
- Potentially work with Planning and Engineering to install new equipment for migration
- New router turn up and configuration
- Up to 55 sites need new equipment and growing
- Lab up design if needed
- MOP creation
- Prepare and submit firewall requests
- MOP execution in maintenance window
- Work through any fall out from migration
What You Will Be Doing
- Analyzes local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems and protocol suites, and configuring communication media.
- Resolves interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms.
- Develops network solutions to migrate or implement network installs via lab simulation and MOP preparation, specifications, and scripts.
- May lead cross functional teams or provide Engineering support.
- Will work as one of the team on site turn up and network focused on the migration from brownfield.
