Systems Engineer / Trading

We’re working with an institutional trading technology firm offering a high-performance, cloud-based platform for algorithmic execution, risk management, real-time analytics, and market data across equities, options, and futures. Due to growth, they are hiring a Windows Systems Engineer to work on a hybrid basis in their office. Must be local to Chicago.

The Systems Engineer will focus on building and maintaining the high-performance infrastructure behind a leading trading platform. You’ll write efficient system-level code, troubleshoot complex distributed systems, and work closely with application and DevOps teams. The ideal candidate has strong experience with operating systems and networking, enjoys fast-paced problem solving, and has a keen interest in how software interacts with hardware.


Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of experience in Systems Engineering
• Windows OS depth
• Network Engineering fundamentals
• Scripting experience with PowerShell, C#, Bash, or Python
• B.S. in Computer Science or related field

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience in trading shops
• Automation with Terraform
• Coding experience with C#, C++, or similar language
