Network Security Engineer / Hybrid / Irving, TX

A nationwide media company is looking to hire a Network Security Engineer for a 6 month contract to hire position. In this position you will be responsible for engineering and maintenance of security systems and infrastructure, as well as investigation and triage of security issues across several tool sets and disciplines. This is a hybrid role onsite 2 days per week in the Irving, TX area.

For this position they are ideally looking for a Network Security Engineer who has 5+ years of experience in a Network/Security role, while in the role building, maintaining, and supporting security systems and infrastructure with a focus on Fortinet firewalls, SDWAN, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer as well as Checkpoint firewalls. They are also looking for an engineer having experience with incident response and remediation, root cause analysis and performing routine security audits/reviews.

Contract Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire
Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years of Network/Security Engineer experience.
• 2+ years of Fortinet Firewall experience and/or Fortinet certifications (Firewalls, SDWAN, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)
• General knowledge of Information Security best practices in an enterprise environment
• Advanced knowledge of network engineering, particularly IPSec VPN and BGP
• Strong understanding of enterprise network, system, and application-level security practice
• Good technical writing, documentation, and communication skills
