Document Control Specialist – EDMS / SharePoint – Hybrid
We are supporting a project-driven organization seeking a Document Control Specialist to lead document and records management for a large capital project environment. This role plays a key part in establishing structure, governance, and best practices for how information is managed, protected, and shared across project teams and stakeholders.
This is a hybrid contract opportunity supporting a high-visibility project.
Required Skills & Experience· Proven experience in document control and records management
· Hands-on experience with SharePoint and EDMS platforms
· Experience developing document control procedures and protocols
· Understanding of information lifecycle management and retention practices
· Experience supporting project-based environments (capital projects, construction, engineering, or similar)
· Ability to conduct audits and implement corrective actions
· Strong organizational and communication skills
· Experience developing Information Management Plans
· Business process analysis experience
· Experience training and guiding teams on document control best practices
· Continuous improvement mindset for systems and workflows
· Oversee day-to-day document control and records management activities
· Develop and maintain information management plans, processes, and procedures
· Establish document control protocols for internal and external stakeholders
· Support and optimize SharePoint and EDMS environments
· Analyze information flows and recommend process improvements
· Conduct self-audits and implement corrective actions
· Collaborate with project teams to ensure consistent information management practices
· Develop training materials and coordinate training sessions
· 40% Document and Records Management Oversight
