Senior Technical Writer/Software Documentation/Mesa, AZ LOCAL

Our client is seeking a seasoned Technical Writer to join their team and take ownership of critical documentation for our evolving software systems. You’ll collaborate with technical experts and product teams to produce high-quality, user-friendly content that supports internal teams and end customers alike. The right candidate will have experience (and ready examples) with technical content such as Software Design/Development Documentation, Data Dictionary and Schema Documentation, AI assessment plan, Security Plan, Maintenance Plan, Master Test Plan, System Support and Maintenance Plan. *This role is hybrid 2 days a week in Mesa, AZ*

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience writing software documentation
• Prior work on new technical products and system functionality documentation
• Experience (and ready examples) with Software Design/Development Documentation, Data Dictionary and Schema Documentation
• Proven ability to translate technical language into clear, engaging content
• Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality deliverables
• Excellent English writing skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and desktop publishing tools
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC)

Desired Skills & Experience

• Writing samples that include system documentation, CDRLs, or architecture docs
• Experience with knowledge base systems or technical enablement tools
