A leading commercial AV integration company in Mount Laurel, NJ is seeking an experienced AV Manager to lead and oversee a growing team of AV professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day engineering operations, mentoring team members, overseeing system designs, and ensuring project deliverables meet client expectations and financial goals.
This position is ideal for a results-driven AV professional with proven managerial experience, a solid financial and technical background, and the ability to lead a team of 10+ engineers and designers. You should hold a minimum CTS certification (CTS-D preferred), have experience with AutoCAD, and be comfortable working both in-office and traveling periodically to support projects and teams.
Required Skills & Experience-
Proven managerial experience leading small AV teams (2–20 people)

Minimum CTS certification (CTS-D strongly preferred)

Documented AV industry experience with a solid technical foundation

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.)

Strong understanding of AV systems design, including signal flow, control systems, and infrastructure

Hands-on experience with AutoCAD for design review and oversight

Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and reviewing project margins

Experience with quoting software such as Jetbuilt or D-Tools – preferred

Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills

Ability to research and evaluate AV products and technologies for use in designs and standards

Leading and mentoring a team of AV engineers and designers

Overseeing project designs and ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with standards

Managing team workload, priorities, and performance evaluations

Collaborating with executive and project teams to meet financial and delivery goals

Reviewing and approving system designs, AutoCAD drawings, and documentation

Assisting in product research and standardization across projects

Ensuring efficient use of resources and maintaining high levels of team productivity

Supporting recruitment and onboarding of new AV team members

Working primarily from the office (~75%) with travel approximately one week per month to support field operations or project coordination
