As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our client’s network infrastructure. This role requires a thorough understanding of network protocols, hardware, and software, as well as a proactive approach to troubleshooting and optimizing network performance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Network Design & Implementation: Design, configure, and deploy network solutions to meet the business needs, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless networks.
  • Maintenance & Support: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the network infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Security: Implement and manage security measures to protect the network from cyber threats and unauthorized access.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly, ensuring seamless communication and data transfer across the network.
  • Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation of network configurations, changes, and standard operating procedures.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other IT professionals and departments to support various projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network engineering or a related role.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in network hardware and software, including Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Experience with network monitoring tools and technologies (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds).
  • Familiarity with security practices and technologies (e.g., VPN, IDS/IPS, firewalls).
  • Hands-on experience with LAN/WAN design and implementation.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are highly desirable.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
