The Database Operations & Engineering DBA operates within the IT Operations (IT Ops) model and is responsible for the stability, availability, performance, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement of enterprise database platforms.
This role supports business-as-usual (BAU) operations, database recovery, platform readiness, patching, performance optimization, and version upgrades across environments (Dev, QA, Prod).
The DBA partners with Infrastructure, Security, Application, and Platform teams to ensure database platforms meet enterprise service level objectives (SLOs), compliance standards, resiliency requirements, and operational governance.
The role requires a strong automation mindset, with hands-on Python experience to drive operational efficiencies, reliability improvements, and deployment automation.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in Database Infrastructure or IT Operations engineering roles.
- 3+ years hands-on DBA experience in at least 2 of:
- MongoDB
- EDB/PostgreSQL
- YugabyteDB
- Experience supporting production enterprise databases within an IT Ops model.
- Strong Linux administration skills (RHEL preferred).
- Proven experience performing:
- Database upgrades and patching
- Backup and recovery validation
- Incident response and RCA
- Performance tuning
- Proficiency in Python for operational automation.
- Experience working within ITIL-based service management frameworks.
- Hybrid cloud or distributed database environments.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring and observability platforms.
- Familiarity with containerized database deployments.
- Experience supporting regulated or high-availability environments.
- Experience with distributed SQL architectures (preferred for YugabyteDB).
