Domain Managing Architect (Digital)

This nationwide insurance industry leader has an immediate 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity for a Domain Managing Architect.

Need someone with the insurance, customer service, distribution, or banking experience, along with the digital domain experience along with demonstrating a mastery of enterprise architecture, and strong communication skills. Need to be able to explain the guiding principles along the technology. It requires the ability to sell the solution to the business. This role will be 50% solution architecture and 50% enterprise architecture. This Domain Managing Architect will be responsible for leveraging Architectural discipline, frameworks, and tools within the Insurance space.

 

Contract Duration: 6-months Contract-to-Hire

Client Location: Plano, TX 75093

  • Hybrid schedule for candidates local to Dallas/Plano, TX
  • Fully remote for non-local candidates

 

Top Key Requirements:

  • Must have strong solution architecture experience in addition to enterprise architecture experience.
  • AI experience in implementing any kind of AI from digital site preferably.
  • Strong multi-cloud knowledge/experience.
  • Solution Architecture in Digital Transformation / Digital technologies
  • No code / low code

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Insurance industry experience
  • Cloud Architecture (AWS) and design experience
  • Cloud transformation and/or Enterprise Modernization

 

General Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 6-9+ years of solution architecture experience and enterprise architecture experience
  • Experience with technical writing, performing risk management, and preparing executive level recommendations.
  • Proficient working within an Enterprise Architecture framework (e.g., TOGAF).
  • In-depth knowledge of project management and software development practices.
  • Broad and deep knowledge of development languages, data solutions, integration, infrastructure, networking, and security.
  • Expert in creating architectural artifact diagrams (VISIO, draw.io).
  • Experience with setting direction on best practices for diagram development and storage.
  • Ability to effectively lead across all organizational areas.

 

Responsibilities:

Technical

  • Serving as trusted technical advisor to IT and Business leadership.
  • Bringing disparate groups to consensus on technical decisions.
  • Communicating complex technical concepts to a wide range of audiences in simple, understandable terms.
  • Directing architects and technical leads to develop and consume defined building blocks and patterns.
  • Setting direction and guiding architects and technical leads on aligning application development to architectural best practices.

Architecture

  • Creating architectural and design artifacts to effectively communicate technology solutions.
  • Leading analysts performing business architecture, design, development, and quality assurance tasks to efficient processes and tools.
  • Responsible for continued maturation of Architecture Discipline. Includes guiding and mentoring the Architecture community in the maturation journey.
  • Acquiring, promoting, and enabling use of architecture meta-data tools and processes.

Design

  • Formulating and reviewing high-level design documents.
  • Leading or ensuring high level design is created and maintained for systems and material sub-systems.
  • Creating or overseeing creation of architecture artifacts to support budgeting, planning, development, and support for technology solutions.
  • Setting direction for creating integration services and reusable patterns to integrate applications and systems.

Solutions

  • Ensuring solutions and associated documentation are consistent with company and industry best practices. Proactively partnering with business, application development, infrastructure, integration, networking, data, and security on solution design, development, and support.
  • Guiding project and program efforts to enterprise patterns and solutions.

Support

  • Serving as a key contributor in planning, roadmap development, and program implementation. Providing best practices guidance on evaluation and selection of purchased products. Identifying opportunities for new enterprise building blocks and patterns. Ensuring technology decisions are in the best interest of company over individual areas.
  • Guiding programs and projects to enterprise compliant technology solutions.

Teamwork

  • Collaborating with Solution Delivery Partners, architects, and technical leads on creating and maintaining the current, target, and transition architecture.
