IT Service Desk Specialist / Tier 1 / Onsite / Plano, TX

A global e-commerce leader that focuses on surplus asset management is currently hiring for a service desk specialist. This is a 3-month contract to hire position located in Plano, TX.

For this position they are looking for a Tier 1-2 support professional with a desire to learn and grow your IT technical skills in a fast-paced work environment. You will be responsible for supporting software and hardware ranging from, laptops to mobile devices and printers. You will assist users with general IT needs both in person and remotely. Ideal experience includes having worked with Windows and Mac OS devices, managing user accounts in Active Directory, Exchange, support and troubleshooting hardware and software, in addition on the hardware end any work with circuit boards, memory, and processors is desired, and some familiarity with Bomb Guard, and previous work with Jira for ticketing is a big plus.

Contract Duration: 3 Month Contract to Hire

Required Skills & Experience
  • 2+ years working in a service desk environment
  • Windows. Mac OS
  • Work with computer systems, and mobile devices
  • Advanced knowledge of computer hardware systems: i.e. circuit boards, memory, and processors
  • Experience managing accounts with Active Directory, and assets with Azure
  • Experience with MS Exchange
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills
  • High-level communication skills
  • Knowledge of remote access systems
  • CompTIA A+ certification is helpful
