Senior SecOps Engineer/Manager

An company in Central NJ is seeking a Security Engineering Manager to lead their growing cybersecurity operations. This is a full-time leadership opportunity to guide a team of senior engineers working with best-in-class technology—SIEM platforms, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto firewalls, and enterprise risk frameworks. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and forward-thinking, with strong support from executive leadership on security investment and long-term strategy.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 8+ years in cybersecurity or infrastructure security, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or management role

  • Deep expertise in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, etc.)

  • Proven track record implementing and managing CrowdStrike Falcon or equivalent endpoint detection tools

  • Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and network segmentation strategies

  • Demonstrated success managing risk management frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)

  • Strong understanding of cloud security and hybrid architecture (AWS/GCP/Azure)

  • Experience leading incident response and threat-hunting teams

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience building and scaling a Security Operations Center (SOC)

  • Familiarity with governance, compliance, and audit readiness

  • Scripting or automation experience (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or GIAC Security Leadership (GSLC)
