Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Windows Systems Engineer to join a dynamic IT environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) setting, offering expertise in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows and VMware environments.

The company is located in Waltham, MA and requires 1-2 days per week on site. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, configure, and optimize Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Provide high-level support for complex server issues and work with teams to resolve escalated technical challenges.
• Automate server tasks and improve system performance using PowerShell or other scripting tools.
• Conduct system backups and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve network and server infrastructure performance.
• Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and changes to system architecture.
• Provide technical support to end-users as needed, ensuring timely issue resolution.

Qualifications:

• Required: Experience working in an MSP (Managed Service Provider) environment.
• Proficient in managing and supporting Windows Servers (2012, 2016, 2019, or 2022).
• Solid understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows networking.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware).
• Knowledge of network integration - LAN, WAN, Firewalls, VPN, VLAN.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
