A leading technology-driven organization in northern Delaware is seeking a Network Automation Engineer to support and modernize their enterprise infrastructure. Based out of Wilmington, this hybrid position combines hands-on networking with automation, scripting, and cloud integration. The environment includes Cisco, Palo Alto, Python, Ansible, Terraform, Git, and Azure networking. This full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to push toward automated, scalable, repeatable infrastructure.
Required Skills & Experience
· 3–7+ years of networking experience in an enterprise environment
· Strong scripting experience with Python
· Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform
· Strong understanding of network protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRFs, VXLAN)
· Experience automating Cisco, Palo Alto, or Juniper platforms
· Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON/YAML, and automation workflows
· Experience with Git/GitLab/GitHub for version control and pipelines
· Ability to work onsite in Wilmington 2–3 days per week
Desired Skills & Experience
· Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
· Exposure to Azure or AWS networking
· Experience with automated testing frameworks for network configs
· Understanding of container networking (Docker/Kubernetes)
· Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code best practices
· Certifications such as DevNet Associate/Professional, CCNP, or equivalent
