Job Description
We are working with a manufacturing company look for a hands-on Director of IT. You must currently be hands-on with infrastructure, network, and security to be considered.
This role combines direct technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, overseeing system and network administrators as well as service desk staff. The position requires the ability to both perform tasks directly and effectively delegate to team members, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across the IT department. Key responsibilities include developing and managing technology infrastructure strategies, implementing and maintaining various IT systems, and ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of the organization's technology environment.
The role also encompasses a wide range of managerial duties, including vendor management, staff training, policy development, and financial optimization. The IT Manager is expected to provide technical guidance, oversee troubleshooting efforts, and maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the position involves monitoring key performance indicators, managing disaster recovery capabilities, and driving continuous improvement in IT operations to support the organization's overall objectives.

Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of professional experience
- Must currently be hands on with Network technology such as LAN/WAN/SAN, firewalls.
- Must currently be hands on with servers and have data center experience.
- Must have experience with security controls and implementation.
- Must have working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
- Ability to discuss how you approach cost-benefit analysis in IT decision-making.
- Monitoring tools like Grafana or Prometheus
- Experience migrating to public cloud.
- Advanced financial analysis skills for improving profit margins.
- Experience with emerging technologies.
