Job Description
Our client is one of the largest dental support organizations in the U.S. and the second highest ranked healthcare providers in the country. They are seeking a Senior Network Engineer in the North Dallas area who will primarily work with FortiNet and Juniper Technologies and has experience with cloud based VOIP solutions.
This role will be responsible for implementing and enforcing network design/configuration standards, network security compliance, access controls, support processes, and data governance.
This is a full-time role that can pay around $110-120k. This hybrid position is Monday-Friday and offers work from home opportunities.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience with LAN, WAN, Campus, Data Center, Wi-Fi, Remote Access, Firewalls, Switches, and Network Access controls.
  • 5+ years of experience with Fortinet Technologies (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, and FortiClientEMS/FortiClient).
  • 5+ years of experience with Juniper Data Center Technologies such as EX4600 and EX3400 series switches, Sky Enterprise, and Virtual-Chassis.
  • Experience with cloud and premise based VOIP solutions.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Capable and comfortable with presenting to internal and external audiences, and interacting with senior management, colleagues, and customers
  • Proven experience supporting and troubleshooting complex infrastructure and systems
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
What You Will Be Doing
Tech Breakdown
  • Cloud and premise based VOIP solutions.
  • FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, and FortiClientEMS/FortiClient.
  • Juniper Data Center Technologies such as EX4600 and EX3400 series switches, Sky Enterprise, and Virtual-Chassis.
  • LAN, WAN, wireless, remote access, QoS, WAN optimization, AAA, NAC, firewalls, and performance monitoring.
Daily Responsibilities
  • Work within a team of network engineers responsible for implementing and enforcing network design/configuration standards, network security compliance, access controls, support processes, and data governance.
  • Manage a complex environment including, multi-cloud, on-prem data centers and 600+ sites.
  • Facilitate, communicate and drive required network upgrades, configuration changes, maintenance, and service improvement plans.
  • Manage global network monitoring tools/systems for performance optimization, HA, logging, alerting, and reporting.
  • Establish and publish regular KPI's/metrics useful for measuring performance, SLA, stability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Capacity planning, acquisition, and managing installations, upgrades, and logistics of various networking and security platforms.
  • Manage and improve network security design standards and defense controls for global networks, data centers, and cloud.
  • Establish, and manage regular compliance audits for security vulnerabilities, network performance, capacity, and policy/configuration standards.
  • Collaborate and provide training to the team for maintaining high-quality ITSM network ticketing support.
  • Manage and continuously explore options to performance, scalability, and reliability for all network connectivity and access services.
