Job Description

Our client, a producer for construction materials, is seeking a Network/System Administrator based out of North Dallas. They primarily work with Windows systems including hyper-v and various software application packages.

This position will require travel to various business units within in the organization. contact will be made with other I.T. staff members and end-users at all organizational levels. Routine contact is required with technology and support vendors for purchases and troubleshooting will be necessary. 

This is a full-time role that can pay around $110-115k plus a 10% annual bonus. The position is Monday-Friday and will require traveling to various business units.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years of Network/Infrastructure administration experience; 7+ years of Operational technology infrastructure support.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft software and associated hardware products including Windows based Servers, Hyper-V, Active Directory administration.
  • Advanced experience with enterprise backup and recovery technologies, system performance monitoring tools, Antivirus, Network Security, LANs and WANs and storage administration.
  • Ability to express technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Strong customer service and technical skills.
  • Very strong communications skills and analytical aptitude.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
What You Will Be Doing

Tech Breakdown
  • Monitor and support of Microsoft Windows Servers 2008-2012 and VM hyper-v operating systems.
  • Administration for network hardware (switches, hubs, routers, firewalls, servers).
  • Administration for software (Active Director, network monitoring, patch management, antivirus)
  • Support and maintain all PC’s in local and remote offices.
  • Install, troubleshoot, manage and monitor company’s wide area network. Experience with the administration and configuration of Cisco routers & switches.
  • Supports email, web applications, network firewalls, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), TCP/IP, intrusion detection/prevention, VMware and Hypervisor implementation and administration.
Daily Responsibilities
  • Manage operations of host computers and servers by monitoring performance, configuration, maintenance and repair.
  • Troubleshoot, manage and maintain system performance.
  • Monitor capacity versus utilization for hardware, system throughput and licenses and recommend appropriate action.
  • Manages the remote data centers and computer host systems.
  • Responds to and resolve telephone calls, e-mails and personal requests for end-user technical support.
The Offer
  • 110-115k base salary depending on experience.
