Senior Python Engineer with Data Engineer Background

We are currently partnered with a high level innovation lab within a major pharmaceutical and cosmetics company in the US whose major focus is to spearhead the digital transformation of one of their main business lines to further understand the customer base and to better deliver the right products to the right people. They want to create a robust network of professionals that customers can use when they're looking for a trustworthy salons and beauticians. 

The ideal applicant will have a strong background in Software Engineering using Python or a similar language, but will also have a strong understanding of the fundamentals or an interest in Data Engineering. They've found a candidate at the cross section of those two disciplines is exactly what they need to fill a current void in this project. They are hiring both Senior and Lead level positions to expand their team. 

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience using Python (3.9 and above) and has a strong understanding of asynchronous programming
• Experience with any of the following: Flask, Fast API, Django
• Previous experience or an interest in Data Engineering
• Comfortable working with AWS APIs
• Clear communication, both written and verbal

Desired Skills & Experience

• BS in CS or equivalent related work experience
• A previous role as a Data Engineer
• Experience or exposure to Data Engineering tools like Snowflake
