Senior .Net Engineer / Trading / Onsite / Chicago

Premiere trading organization is looking to bring on a Senior Backend Engineer. They are based in Chicago’s Loop and require 4 days in office. They are a fast-growing proprietary trading firm known for building ultra-low-latency systems and high-performance trading infrastructure. You’ll work with cutting-edge C#, C++, microservices, low-latency systems, and high-throughput distributed services powering real-time trading execution.

This role puts you directly at the core of the firm’s trading technology—your engineering decisions influence P/L in real time. Required Skills & Experience

· 5+ years of backend engineering experience in C# and/or C++
· Experience developing trading infrastructure (e.g., trading engine, FIX engine, order management systems)
· Strong understanding of low-latency systems and real-time data flows
· Experience with SQL databases and high-performance data access
· Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices, and distributed system design
· Strong understanding of market data processing or order routing pipelines
· Experience with authentication, middleware, and high-throughput messaging systems

Desired Skills & Experience

· Experience with P/L calculations, margin engines, or position reconciliation
· Knowledge of WebSockets and streaming interfaces
· Experience with colocation, tick-to-trade optimization, or hardware acceleration
· Exposure to risk systems or post-trade workflows
· Familiarity with cloud-adjacent hybrid deployments
