Implementation Project Manager

Our client has a fully remote opportunity for a highly organized and experienced Implementation Project Manager to lead the successful implementation within Workday for HR & Payroll. Workday experience is NOT required as long as candidates have done implementations for any HR payroll system.

 

Contract Duration: 9 month contract (Through July 2026)

 

As the Implementation Project Manager, you will serve as the primary liaison between our executive leadership, HR, Payroll, Compensation teams, and our implementation consulting partner. You will be responsible for ensuring the project stays on track, within budget, and meets our business requirements. This is a fully remote position requiring a confident, direct, and clear communicator with a proven track record of managing HRIS implementations.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, with at least 2 full-cycle HRIS implementation projects.
  • Experience implementing HRIS systems (Workday preferred; Dayforce, ADP, or similar experience considered).
  • Proven ability to manage projects within a consulting partner's methodology.
  • Experience with SmartSheets project management software.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of HR, Payroll, and Compensation processes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.
  • Confident, direct, and clear communication style.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with testing and reporting.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Workday implementation experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

 

What You Will Be Doing

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Smile Doctors and the implementation consulting partner, Impact Advisors
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, HR, Payroll, and Compensation teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Monitor and manage the project plan within the consulting partner's methodology and SmartSheets environment.
  • Track project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and implement solutions to ensure timely completion.
  • Facilitate regular project status meetings and provide clear, concise updates to stakeholders.
  • Manage project risks and issues, escalating as necessary.
  • Oversee all aspects of testing, including test plan development, execution, and defect resolution.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the implementation process.
  • Develop and deliver project reports to key stakeholders.
  • Manage and monitor the project budget.
  • Drive decision-making and ensure alignment across all stakeholders.
  • Ensure all project documentation is complete and accurate.
