Job Overview
The IT Manager will be responsible for leading the technology operations, ensuring seamless functionality, scalability, and security across all systems. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, outstanding organizational abilities, and hands-on leadership. The IT Manager will manage, hire, and grow a high-performing IT team while aligning technology initiatives with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership:
Oversee and manage a team of IT professionals, including developers, engineers, and support staff. Act as the primary line manager.
Recruit, hire, and mentor team members to build a strong and collaborative technology department.
Infrastructure Management:
Ensure the reliability and scalability of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud-based platforms.
Implement robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Software Management & Deployment:
Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of fintech applications and platforms.
Collaborate with development teams to optimize software performance and user experience.
Manage third-party infrastructure vendors.
Fintech Expertise:
Leverage industry knowledge to implement secure and compliant systems that meet fintech regulatory standards.
Manage integrations with financial systems, APIs, and payment gateways.
Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute an IT strategy that supports business goals and drives innovation.
Manage IT budgets.
Vendor Management:
Oversee relationships with external vendors providing software solutions, network infrastructure, and IT support services.
Ensure vendors deliver high-quality, reliable services aligned with company requirements and timelines.
Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and manage budgets for outsourced IT services.
Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years in IT management, with a strong background in the fintech industry.
Proven ability to lead and grow high-performing teams.
Hands-on experience with infrastructure management, software deployment, and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Strong knowledge of fintech systems, compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR), and cybersecurity practices.
Skills:
Excellent leadership and project management skills.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency in SQL, APIs, and payment system integrations is a plus.
