Sr. Network Engineer

A fortune 500 company is seeking a skilled Network Engineer with extensive experience in Cisco technologies, specifically with Cisco routers, switches, Catalyst series, Ruckus wireless solutions, and Fortinet security devices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Design & Implementation:

  • Design, configure, and implement network solutions using Cisco, Catalyst, Ruckus, and Fortinet technologies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess network requirements and recommend solutions.

• Troubleshooting & Support:

  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues related to connectivity, performance, and security.
  • Provide second and third-level support for network-related incidents.

• Configuration Management:

  • Manage and document network configurations and changes.
  • Ensure all network devices are configured to best practices and organizational standards.

• Security Management:

  • Implement and maintain network security policies using Fortinet firewalls and other security appliances.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits.

• Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with other IT teams to support business objectives and projects.
  • Provide training and support to junior team members.

• Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for network architecture, configurations, and processes.
  • Prepare reports on network performance and incidents.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in network engineering or related roles.
  • Proven experience with Cisco routers and switches, especially Catalyst series.
  • Hands-on experience with Ruckus wireless solutions and Fortinet security devices.

• Certifications:
