Network Architect

NETWORK ARCHITECT

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Network Architect to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-level network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in large-scale LAN/WAN environments, datacenter and security design, and network optimization. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions that align with business objectives.

This is an on-site role in Lawrenceville, GA, and requires a successful background check clearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and maintain large-scale LAN/WAN, WLAN, and VPN network infrastructures.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define architecture objectives.

• Create detailed network architecture diagrams, documentation, and specifications.

• Evaluate and recommend network hardware, software, and protocols.

• Lead implementation and configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

• Design and implement security measures including access controls, encryption, and intrusion prevention/detection.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance and reliability.

• Stay current with emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends.

• Provide leadership and technical guidance across IT teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience supporting networks in enterprise environments.

• 4+ years of experience designing LAN/WAN infrastructures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).

• Proven experience as a Network Architect in enterprise environments.

• Deep knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, VPNs).

• Experience with leading vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, Arista).

• Strong understanding of security best practices (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).

• Proficiency with monitoring/management tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios, etc.).

• Relevant certifications (CCNP, JNCIP, CISSP, etc.) strongly preferred.
