Overview:

We are seeking a Field Technician/VoIP Technician with experience in 3CX VoIP systems. This full-time role requires onsite support at client locations throughout the Charlotte, NC area, providing Level 1-2 technical support. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in network cabling, troubleshooting network connectivity, and hands-on experience configuring and maintaining 3CX VoIP systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel to client sites within Charlotte, NC to provide technical support and maintenance.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot 3CX VoIP systems, including phones and associated devices.
  • Handle network cabling, including setting up and maintaining Ethernet and fiber cables.
  • Connect devices to local area networks (LAN), ensure stable internet connections, and resolve connectivity issues.
  • Provide Level 1-2 troubleshooting for network and VoIP-related incidents.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to resolve technical issues and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Perform routine checks on network equipment, VoIP systems, and overall infrastructure at client sites.
  • Document and report all technical activities and customer interactions accurately.
  • Manage time efficiently while traveling to different client sites, ensuring timely support and resolution.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience with 3CX VoIP systems—configuration, support, and troubleshooting.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, firewalls, and routers).
  • Experience in network cabling, including setup, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle Level 1-2 support issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to work directly with clients.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel around the Charlotte area. (Company car will be provided).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications in VoIP or network technologies (e.g., CCNA, 3CX certification).
  • Experience working in a field or client-facing technical support role.
  • Familiarity with other communication systems and network devices.
