R&D Engineer / Java / Onsite

Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join a local SaaS company as a R&D Engineer. This is a fully onsite position, open to only local candidates.

This engineer will be building and evaluating early-stage concepts that may influence both new and existing products. The team is looking for someone who stays engaged with technology outside of work, whether that’s through maintaining a GitHub with personal projects or continuing to learn independently. A strong foundation in Java and core computer science is important, as their platform depends heavily on both.

Required Skills & Experience

• At least one year of professional Java experience
• Demonstrated interest in technology via side projects, GitHub, trainings, etc.
• Java/Spring development
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills – they are looking for enthusiasm
• BS in Computer Science

Desired Skills & Experience

• Amazon Web Services
• AI/Machine Learning concept development

Tech Breakdown

• 70% Backend
• 30% Frontend

Daily Responsibilities

• 80% Development
• 20% Research
