Cyber Architect

Contract
$80/hr - $70/hr
Cyber Architect supporting a large, mission-driven organization operating in a regulated federal environment, with onsite work required three days per week in Washington, DC or Manassas, VA. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire role focused on designing, implementing, and operating enterprise-scale cybersecurity architecture that protects critical systems and cloud workloads.
Key Responsibilities

Lead cybersecurity architecture and engineering initiatives across enterprise systems

Own Splunk ES configuration, data onboarding, CIM mapping, and optimization

Administer and optimize a CASB platform (Skyhigh) to manage cloud visibility and risk

Design and support cloud security controls in AWS and hybrid environments

Partner with stakeholders to align security architecture with organizational objectives
Requirements

8+ years of IT experience with strong focus on cybersecurity architecture or engineering

Hands-on experience with Splunk and security monitoring tools

Experience securing cloud environments (AWS required)

Strong background in network and identity security technologies

Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
