Radio Technician / Contract / Onsite / Elgin, IL

Our client, a provider of communication products, solutions, and services with a focus on safety, is hiring a contract Radio Technician in Elgin, IL. 

As a Radio Technician, you will be responsible for board-level analysis of failed 2-way subscriber products, including mobile and portable 2-way radios. This will be an exciting opportunity to leverage your technical expertise within testing, diagnosing, and repairing electronic assemblies to identify the root causes of failures. 

Contract Duration: 12+ Months
Required Skills & Experience

• Associates degree in Electronics Engineering Technology
• 1-3 years of experience
• Experience operating and setting up electronics equipment

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience working with schematics

What You Will Be Doing

• Analyze rejected electronic assemblies using test equipment, simulators, and troubleshooting skills
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems, define the corrective actions, and communicate findings
• Identify vendor vs process defects and write detailed failure analysis reports
