Mechanical Design Engineer - Siemens NX, hybrid in RI

Our Rhode Island-based client is pioneering the future of electric vehicle technology. They are looking to bring on a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to drive the the design and implementation of the products using Siemens NX. 
Roles & Responsibilities:

• Quickly transform concepts into 3D models and technical drawings using Siemens NX.
• Review technical drawings for accuracy and provide feedback on manufacturability.
• Utilize Siemens NX and Teamcenter PLM software to create models, manage data, and analyze product components.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Engineering Design, Drafting, and Modeling standards.
• Contribute to the development of Part Families, including support for Mechanical and Electrical Routing applications (e.g., Tubing, Ducting, Harnessing).
• Advise and deliver training sessions to engineers on best practices and software tools.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Bills of Materials (BOM) and their application.
• Collaborate with external vendors to support, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve CAD, PDM, and PLM systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of professional experience
• Expert in NX
• Hands-on experience with ROS middleware, including ROS Kinetic, Melodic, or newer versions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate complex technical concepts effectively.
