Junior Systems Engineer

Fort Worth, TX company is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to join their team for a contract opportunity.

Duration: Contract expected to go through 2025

Experience: 1-2 years experience preferred

Required skills:

• Able to work independently with minimal direction
• Able to analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose, and determine root cause with minimal assistance
• Able to create solutions and implement them with minimal assistance
• Able to lift 50 pounds

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

• Standard 3 days on site in Ft. Worth, more as required.
• Travel up to 25%.
• Implement technical requirements and solutions
• Perform configuration and maintenance of applications and servers
• Maintain system documentation
• Support enterprise application performance management, monitoring and logging solutions
• Troubleshoot and support systems and applications across on premise and environments

• MySQL
• Apache
• PuTTY SSH and Telnet Client
• Ubuntu 18
• Windows Server 2019
• Powershell, BASH, or similar
• Storage technologies (SAN and NAS)

• Network technologies (firewall, routing, LAN, WAN, DNS)
• System monitoring tools (Dynatrace or others)
• Server virtualization technologies (VMware ESX Server, Citrix XenApp Server, Microsoft HyperV)
• Application and Web servers
• SSL technologies (https, sftp, SSH, TLS, etc.)
