Fort Worth, TX company is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join their team for a contract opportunity.

Leverage the latest technology to solve business problems in a collaborative environment at this Fortune 500 transportation giant. Top technical resources are retained on long-term contract engagements.
Responsible for leveraging cutting edge technology to solve business problems by participating in all phases of the development process from inception through transition, advocating the agile process and test-driven development, using object-oriented development tools to analyze, model, design, construct and test reusable objects, and making the codebase better.

Contract Duration: 1 Month (will extend through 2025)

Desired Skills & Experience
  • 5-8 years of experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, OR equivalent experience in infrastructure engineering.
  • Windows Server 2019
  • PowerShell, BASH, or similar
  • Server virtualization technologies (VMware ESX Server, Citrix XenApp Server, Microsoft Hyper-V)
  • System monitoring tools (Dynatrace or others)
  • SSL technologies (https, sftp, SSH, TLS, etc.)
  • Windows 10+ O/S
  • Ubuntu 18+
  • Storage technologies (SAN and NAS)
  • TC/IP Networking
  • Network technologies (firewall, routing, LAN, WAN, DNS)
  • Application and Web servers
  • PuTTY SSH and Telnet Client
  • MySQL
  • Apache

What You Will Be Doing
  • Standard 3 days on site, more as required.
  • Travel up to 25%.
  • Implement technical requirements and solutions.
  • Perform configuration and maintenance of applications and servers.
  • Maintain system documentation.
  • Support enterprise application performance management, monitoring and logging solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and support systems and applications across on-premise and physical environments
