About the Role: We are working with a prominent Investment Management Platform managing over $2 billion in assets, looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join their growing team. This role presents the opportunity to work at the heart of the financial technology industry, contributing to the development and optimization of critical systems that support trading and investment portfolio analysis. The ideal candidate will play a key role in building and managing data pipelines, consolidating databases, and driving the performance of data systems to support investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain robust ETL pipelines to drive investment strategy analysis and simulations.
  • Consolidate and streamline MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring efficient data management.
  • Enhance and build tools that facilitate high-level trading and portfolio analysis operations.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure the creation of scalable and high-performing data infrastructures.
  • Use data integration and analysis techniques to extract meaningful insights and enhance investment strategies.
  • Conduct unit testing to ensure the functionality and reliability of systems.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by evaluating and incorporating the latest advancements in data engineering tools and technologies.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a Data Engineering role, with a deep understanding of modern data management.
  • Strong Python3 expertise, including experience with libraries such as Numpy, Pandas, and Flask.
  • Solid hands-on experience working with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and contemporary data engineering stacks.
  • Advanced experience in developing ETL pipelines and integrating diverse data sources.
  • Proficiency in working within Linux-based environments (Debian/Ubuntu).
  • In-depth knowledge of data analysis techniques, data storage solutions, and data ingestion processes.
  • A strong foundation in software engineering principles, including unit testing and best practices.
