AWS Specialist 

For a brief contract, we are looking for a qualified AWS Migration Engineer to help our customer with a crucial migration project. The ideal applicant will have a strong background in cloud computing, specifically in relation to Amazon Web Services (AWS), and a track record of effectively overseeing and carrying out migrations from on-premises or other cloud settings to AWS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand current infrastructure and migration requirements.
  • Design and implement migration strategies for applications and data to AWS.
  • Perform assessments of current workloads to determine suitability for migration.
  • Develop and execute migration plans, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
  • Optimize AWS resources for cost-effectiveness and performance.
  • Troubleshoot migration-related issues and provide support post-migration.
  • Document processes, procedures, and configurations for future reference.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to client teams as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an AWS Migration Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud migration tools and methodologies.
  • Proficient in networking technologies - VPNs, Vlans, Access control
  • Familiarity with networking, security, and compliance best practices in AWS.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
