Robotics Technician

Our client is seeking a highly hands-on Robotics Mechatronics (Assembly) Technician who enjoys assembling, testing, and debugging complex technical products. The ideal candidate brings both practical automotive experience and familiarity with industrial automation systems.

This individual is quick to learn new skills, naturally curious about how systems function, and intuitive when it comes to understanding how products are built and integrated. Reliability, strong work ethic, and a proactive mindset are essential for success in this role.

This is an on-site position based in Waltham, MA, with periods of occasional travel up to 75%.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test robotic systems end-to-end.

  • Support customer deployments, including commissioning and go-live activities.

  • Own and maintain our client’s vehicle configuration library.

  • Define and advocate for new features in tools and software to support scalability and fleet consistency.

  • Document and lead troubleshooting procedures across robotic subsystems.

  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to resolve system interface and performance issues.

  • Support on-site pilot programs, customer demonstrations, and system deployments.

Required Qualifications
  • Hands-on automotive experience or equivalent, specifically related to vehicle tires.

  • Advanced experience in electro-mechanical assembly, operation, and root cause troubleshooting.

  • Proficiency in wiring, cable fabrication, and cable management.

  • Experience performing basic product testing and data collection.

  • Experience working in an engineering lab environment.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Machining experience.

  • Familiarity with Linux environments and command-line utilities.

  • Experience using CAD tools (preferably Onshape or SolidWorks).

  • Veteran or prior service experience.
